Way back in the beginning of lockdown, people had no idea what they were supposed to be doing. There were mixed messages from the government. No official comms. No wonder the parks were full and so too were the hospitals. So we decided to put our skills to good use and create a set of posters to help people understand what they needed to do during lockdown. They’re modern takes on classic war posters, designed to give people clear instructions but delivered with a sense of humour and style.

The response was incredible. We posted the first batch on social media and it all went crazy. People called us from New York asking how they could help get them out there. That led to us being donated free media space around London. They were up on over 47 billboard sites around London, with media space donated by PJX Media and Clear Channel. Then the New York Times called and asked us for an interview, which led to us being featured in a special on art during Coronavirus.

Each poster tackled a different problem to do with the pandemic. So we had posters on hand-washing, social distancing, panic-buying and weekly shopping, to name just a few. Pretty much anything you were supposed to do or not to do, we had a poster for it.
